Burial at sea as a tradition has dated back thousands of years. Presently, family and loved ones have increasingly been choosing ash scattering for their own reasons.

Your captain and crew conduct a dignified, caring, memorial ash scattering service at sea, approximately 3-5 miles offshore in the Gulf of Mexico, just north of Tampa. The services may be attended or unattended. A commemorative nautical certificate stating your loved one's name, date, and exact latitude and longitude of the ash scattering ceremony can be provided for just $10. Windsong Charters guarantees you a professional, affordable memorial service and burial at sea for your loved one. We also offer ash scattering services or burial at sea for pets.

If you or your family are unable to attend, our captain and crew will respectfully conduct the ash scattering memorial service on your behalf. You can be provided with digital photos of the ceremony or if you wish to "attend" the ash scattering service via cell-phone or have the ceremony video taped, this may be arranged for a small additional fee.

Fulfilling Final Wishes - Ash Scattering Service at Sea
You can choose a departure time on one of our pontoon boats. Our boat will depart Gulf Harbors in New Port Richey - just north of Tampa - and motor out 3 miles into the Gulf of Mexico where the engine will be shut down. We will drift gently while you perform your desired ceremony.

You may bring your own music to play on our stereo system on a phone - note that our boats are NOT equipped with CD players.

We will then motor back to port, with an optional stop on the island with the entire proceedings lasting approximately three hours. You may choose the time of day: morning, afternoon or evening sunset. A maximum of 6 people only may attend the burial at sea. If you have more than 6 please contact us for pricing.

We offer two ash scattering packages with a captain. 6 people or less package and a 7-12 person package. 3 hours duration.

1-6 person inclusive package: $400 includes boat, captain, taxes and fuel

7-12 person package: $350 for boat plus tax and fuel plus $120 cash paid to captain
