Unlike other ASA sailing schools we do not require a certain
minimum numbers of students in order to do the class. Our minimum is ONE
PERSON! Our maximum per class is 4 people, so you will still receive
personal attention from our instructors.
WE HAVE NO CLASSROOMS! All instruction is done on our
sailboats.
ASA sailing classes offered:
Basic Keelboat (101) - $435 per person
8 hours (2 days - 4 hours per day)
Prerequisites: None
General Description: Upon completion, you will have the ability to sail a boat of 20
- 25 feet in length in light
to moderate winds and sea conditions in familiar waters without supervision.
A preparatory Standard with no auxiliary power or navigation skills
required. Includes one year membership to ASA.
Basic Coastal Cruising (103) - $495 per person
16 hours (two 8 hour days or four 4 hour days)
Prerequisites: Basic Keelboat Sailing Certificate
General Description: Ability to cruise safely in local and regional waters as
both skipper and crew on an auxiliary powered sailboat of up to 30
feet in length, in moderate winds and sea conditions.
Bareboat Chartering (104) - $999 per person
(Intermediate Coastal Cruising)
3 days and 2 nights - liveaboard cruise
Prerequisites: Basic Keelboat Sailing and Basic Coastal Cruising
Certification
General Description: An advanced cruising Standard for individuals with
cruising experience. The individual can act as skipper or crew of a 30 - 50
foot boat sailing by day in coastal waters. The Standard includes knowledge
of boat systems and maintenance procedures. Includes food and dockage.
One night spent offshore and
second night at a marina.
